About the project

Komplitt is the first and unique research group of its kind in Sweden. Based at Lund University, it is committed to bringing Scandinavian perspectives to the global development of comparative literature.

The solution

As this is the first website for the organisation, we have focused our efforts not only on building a custom platform for them but also in establishing the Komplitt brand. The group approached us with the idea to create an online space where they could share new research papers, make announcements, share the latest literature and keep in touch with all interested parties.

One of the first steps in the process was to initiate a conversation with the client, where we gathered all their requirements, expectations and start creating an overall concept for the platform. The challenge was that this was our client’s first web project and coming from the background of university researchers they didn’t know what to expect. That is why we had a leading role in the whole process, coming up with various suggestions and analysing what will be most suitable for their target audience.

Throughout the process, we came up with lots of ideas, but one of the main milestones was to create a logo, which will make Komplitt recognisable. Here are some samples from the process.

It was essential for our client to be able to manage the website content without the interference of a third party. Knowing that, we have built a custom administrative panel, which is easy to use even for people who are not tech-savvy.

Apart from spreading the word for the activity of the research group and an online business card, the website serves as a source of information for all the upcoming seminars, latest published books and announcements.

The outcome

We are very proud that we had the chance to take part in this project and help Komplitt promote the work they are doing at the University of Lund. We hope that with this website, they have made another step to building more successful collaborations with scholars and reached more people interested in bringing Scandinavian perspectives to the global development of comparative literature as a discipline.
